Q&A: JLPT (Japanese Language) test?

Hello, I am interested in the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) because I am currently studying the Japanese language and I was thinking maybe I will take this test in the future. I know that there are 5 levels as of 2009. Can someone please tell me how many Kanji I need to master for each level?
