Q&A: Does a Japanese senior high school have freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors?

Question by Caca: Does a Japanese senior high school have freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors?
I know the American system, but since most American high schools have 4 years and Japanese high schools have 3 years it would be different wouldn't it? I was wondering if they would skip out the juniors and call the third and last year seniors.

Answer by JulianThey don't refer to the grades as such in Japanese at all, so there's nothing to skip over.
