Could someone please explain the grading system, extracurricular activities, timetables, classes and what time school starts and ends?
I know that students attend juku or cram schools and that you have to take exams to enter high school.
I need this for a manga I'm making, which probably won't be out for a few years.

I've been looking at taking a 1 year course at Japanese language schools and they say that you need to apply for a student visa before going there.

Do most applications for student visas get accepted? As long as you meet the financial requirements and don't have a criminal past or anything will you get accepted for the visa?
