Question by kamikaze: Do you leave a tip for a maid at a hotel in Japan?
Tipping is uncommon in Japan and I rarely tip here. I don't tip at a restaurant or at a hair salon and I don't tip a pizza-delivery guy and etc.

Somehow, I'm curious if you(non-Japanese) tip a room maid especially when you stay at a luxury hotel.
Do I have to leave a tip if I stayed at the Grand Hyatt or the Ritz-Carlton?
