I really want to do this cause I never been to japan or out of the U.S. much so I'm eager to see what japan's culture is like. I'm in a learning rut. I've been trying to teach myself Japanese. Currently I know Hiragana and Katakana.
But after that i don't know what to do!
I have a grammar book-a dictionary-a book on 1st and 2nd grade kanji
-and absolutely NO IDEA what to do now! How should i go about learning grammar and words?
I don't know where to start and so I feel really overwhelmed whenever I sit down to try and learn. Can you give me examples

Yes China! is a story about... wait for it... wait for it... tacos. You thought I was going to say China, didn't you? Well, there might be something about China in here, but this is not your ordinary travelogue. Sure, I did the whole "traveling on a budget" thing and came face-to-face with some of the most horrifically poo and maggot-filled restrooms in existence, but the real reason I was in China was to teach.

Hi, I'm a Mexican Japanese student looking for the azumanga daioh comic books, but in Japanese language. I've been looking a lot and can't find them. If someone know where to download them, please post ti here. This will help me a lot with my preparation for JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test)and to have a good laugh too :). What will happen to the Japanese Yen if the US dollar collapses? The Fed keeps lowering the interest rates and devaluing the US dollar. I am wondering how this will affect the Japanese Yen.
I think Japans currency is totally undervalued, and I think if the dollar collapses, then the Japanese Yen will skyrocket. What do you think?

Answer by Baysoc23A Japanese HS has three grades, (1, 2, and 3). Incoming students, known as ichinensei, are the first graders. We would call them freshman. The seniors are the third graders, known as sannen-sei in Japanese. After 3rd grade, they graduate and some go on to college if they pass their examinations.

How can I download a Japanese language pack?

Question by : How can I download a Japanese language pack?
Whenever I go to Japanese sites all I see are squares or just symbols.
I also want to be able to type in Japanese since I am learning.
Can somebody please write a thoroguh walkthrough of where to download a Japanese language pack and how to make it work? Because I did do so once and it had no effect.
And do I need a seperate language pack for kanji, hirigana and katakana?
